It's not a bad idea really. I don't have an autofollow but I follow most that follow me unless they slip through the cracks. Was it difficult to install and what autofollower are you using?

I'm using TweetLater.com. It requires you to turn on the email notification and then forward the notification email to them.

Occasionally it will screw up because Twitter is down or something, but it mostly works.

I'm also playing with some other twitter tools, but it is hard to do in Dubai as the internet here sucks. It is so slow, most pages time out.

Twitter is the best marketing tool I've found in terms of ROI. I've been doing a lot of experimenting and my system is working pretty well. It would work even better if I had a real internet connection.

You have to forward the email to them? If I'm going to do that, I might as well click through the email and follow the person myself, lol. I still have the link from Sadie up in a tab, though, as I want to check the site out further.

Following by hand for 20-60 people a day is a pain, especially when you have a slow connection. This way it is done even if I'm not online or sleeping (which I usually am given the time zone difference).

Well you said you have to forward them the email....so do you have 'that' set up to be automatically done? Or was that a one time thing, because I took it to mean you forwarded 'every' email notification to them, lol.

In twitter, you check the box to send you an email when you get a new follower.

In Gmail, I set it up so that whenever I get a new follower email from Twitter, it forwards that email to TweetLater.com.

TweetLater then sends out a message (if you want) to the person who followed you, and follows them in return.
