#Bloggeries on Twitter - Help Us Find New Posts!

Hi everyone!

Asking you read this and if you like it; please help spread the word. Any help would be appreciated!

As most of you know "bloggeries" is a synonym for "blog posts".

I don't check my RSS anymore and I am always looking for good bloggeries to read, retweet, comment on etc...

When I do a search in twitter for "blogging, blogger, blogged, blog post, blog posts" etc... I always get many varied results and few ACTUAL bloggeries.

Example : Twitter / Rob Bloggeries: Reading ~ Lists = Links by ...

Reading ~ Lists = Links by Search Engine Journal. http://budurl.com/yemc Good read. #bloggeries

If you are sharing a bloggery (blog post) of any kind whether you wrote it or not please add #bloggeries to the end of the tweet. This way people who want to read new posts (bloggeries) can search that and find lists of all the new bloggeries availble instead of mixed / varied results.

I thought of this last night and believe with the help of you forum members this could catch on in a major way. Twitter is new and evolving and imo it makes sense to use a hash tag #bloggeries as a way to find bloggeries on twitter. As mentioned above the other words have too many other meanings and usages to pull useful results.

What do you think? Care to join the cause!?

Great idea I like it. when I put #bloggeries at the end of the post, do i need to link it to something or does it automatically link?

It does it automatically. If you add blah blah blah blah blah #bloggeries and go to Twitter Search and type in "bloggeries" it will come up.

I don't tweet that much so if this became a well used way it would be exclusively new bloggeries or ones that people deemed worthy of sharing.

Great idea Rob! That will be a great way for us all to network with each other outside of just the forums, and it will also help people who follow us on Twitter to think to themselves, "Hmm, what's this 'Bloggeries' thing?" and then find their way here.

I was having trouble doing this in Wordpress because I was using Twitter Tools - now using PingPressFM and it's easy with that, plus you can ping all your statuses at once using ping.fm.
