Interesting blog, I think if you keep going reporting on what ex contestants have done and of course about this year for next year you could be a respected site that gets that surge of traffic when American Idol starts again next year. If your passionate about it it should work as lots of people search it so you'd have a readership base!

I agree with what Rob said. You will find lots of stuff to report on in between seasons and I think the celebrity aspect alone will give you enough keyword rich material to get some nice traffic going. Good luck!
