Since your blog is more of a "business type" blog I think the layout fits perfectly with your theme. I wouldn't do anything more with it color-wise or adding a header, etc. The only suggestion is perhaps a logo of some kind.

If you weren't on Wordpress you could add the logo as a favicon too...

Sneakyheathen I can't change a whole lot since this blog is hosted on wordpress.com so I would have to pay to edit the CSS.
