Thank you, much appreciated! I've been to Canada twice and loved it. I was very careful in Montreal to attempt broken french before slipping into English out of respect. It is very political in that regard.

Yes, language is very politial in Canada... It gets to you after a while.
I usually go with the flow, speak French or English whenever needed.

Especially in Ottawa and Montreal. As you venture further east or west in Canada it becomes spoken less and less especially as you travel west. I'm glad we have both languages here, lucky enough to learn two growing up. Next is spanish I believe.

Thanks guys. Yes I did not encounter any language issues when I was up in Toronto. That's a nother place I really liked. And people in Montreal were very kind once they saw me at least making an effort to speak French. I was treated very well there and felt like I was in Europe at times. I hear Quebec City is feels very European and is very nice. I also heard that english is not spoken at all there but it could be rumor. I'd like to also visit Vancouver if I get a chance.
