Its hosted free and you can signup at bigonions.net.
Its basically a wordpress blog but i don't have to look after it or anything the people that run it sort out all the hosting stuff. Have a few plugins but not many i have asked for a few more and they jsut say they are "working on it" which is better then nothing i suppose.

if you want to rank for you term-assuming your name- then use your name as the anchor text and not my blog.

If i want to rank for my term? my name as an anchor? That makes little to no sense to me at all

He is saying that, if you want your blog to be found in search engines by certain keywords, such as your name, then you should use your name in the text links that point to your blog. In the post above, you simply used "My Blog" as the anchor text. Search engines look at that text and will use that text as an indicator of how they rank it when people are searching.
