Hey everyone.

This is my first blog, so be gentle. Any thoughts, input, recommendations or whataver else would be appreciated. The layout right now is basically just a standard template on blogspot.

It's called Brain Stimulant. The blog covers several topics about the brain, neuroscience, neurotechnology and artificial intelligence.

I would also like to know, where are the best places to advertise science themed blogs?

And what type of topics should I cover? I have a lot of interests besides the brain so I am not sure if I should make just one blog that is fairly general, or have multiple blogs with each one covering a narrow topic.

Your postings are rich and filled with content, which is always a plus. I agree with ghing, I think you can start considering networking and promoting that blog. You could definitely see some great traffic from such a unique area of interest.

Very informative site...but the "subscribe" buttons should be near the top and on the right hand column, not all the way at the bottom. Also, since the content is wordy, you may want to break up the text with some more images.

Hey Mike,

I checked out your blog. It's cool! I love the content, which is obviously key to the whole thing. You might want to drop some kind of detailed 'about' page or link on there somewhere. Or at least a blurb in the sidebar. People will wonder what it is exactly you do.

I read the latest 4 posts. All are interesting and easy to read...I was compelled to read from start to finish. This is good, because a lot of bloggers end up over-writing or leaving a wall of text, which kicks me out of the blog. Also, pictures are a nice touch. I'm wondering where you got some of them??

You'll want to start driving traffic to the site, connecting with other like-minded bloggers, and becoming a part of a community pretty soon. Helps to keep the enthusiasm.

You mean those five buttons at the very bottom that are stacked on top of each other?

Actually I got almost all of them from Wikimedia Commons. I hope thats OK.

Nice stuff there! Interesting topics there, didn't know researches into brain are so advanced already. I don't have any particular advice here, just that you might want to change to a better template before promoting your blog seriously. Contact me for help if you need any regarding new template

Wow! Your blog definitely is something special? I think the blog you are posting must be something relevant to your work or studies right?

I think your blog is full with content but lack of design, maybe you include more stuffs at the right panel of the blog to increase attraction for your blog.
