NO! I am NOT self hosting this blog- it's ending in a year and a half when (hopefully) I'm not Nearly-Dr Ferox, but actually-Dr Ferox. I want it to remain on the internet when I finish writing in it, and don't want to be paying for hosting and domain name indefinitely, so the free blog works just fine for this one.

And in any case, it does not earn enough to sustain hosting and a domain name of it's own. Most of its earnings come from winning hte B4L contests, and they're for B4L blogs only.

FYI, there's a difference between self-hosting (paying for hosting and all the rest), and just having a domain name (approximately $9 for the year).

Any blog that plans on being around for a while should have its own domain name, even if it's hosted at a free blog host like B4L. You never know what you'll want to do with a blog down the road.

Except, of course, that you do know that you have a limited time frame for the blog, ending when you earn your degree. Personally, I'd still spend the $9 for the domain name, just to keep my options open, but that's personal preference.

Jay

I am not sure but I think your header thing is not working. Because there is just a gap at the very top when I visit your page. Is it supposed to be that way?
It is cool how you build in the google ads in your navigation area.
Oh now it showed me your banner at the very top ... it took a long time to load it. With the banner your site looks much nicer. I'd recommend that you improve the time it takes to download your banner.

I can't really do much about that, since I don't own the servers.
