White Hat SEO vs Black Hat SEO

I have a question guys... Do you ever believe that white and black hat SEO techniques ever exists? I mean, has anyone here tried using Black Hat SEO techniques and what are the consequences and results? was there website penalized by search engines?

I go for white hat SEO. It is devoted to properly optimize your site to attract crawlers attention and to build long-friendly relationship with search engines.

In principle I think most Black Hatting techniques, like hidden or invisible text are gonna get found out sooner or later, so are pointless. Especially if you're looking to build an established and respected blog.

I do hear of a few people here and there saying that they have had success with Link Farming and a degree of Keyword Stuffing and I guess that's going to appeal to some people.

But those people should accept that although they may get traffic to their site through strategies like this, it may well affect the credibility and effectiveness of the site once people are on it.

Google doesn't like black hatters, once you get banned by google, there's is almost no hope of getting the site backup on google again.

I go with whitehat, because it is something which all the webmasters recommend. Blackhat is not even recommended by google itself and has harmful effects on SERP.
