A couple of weeks ago, I got the brilliant idea (now not so much) to remove content from my site that didn't fit the niche I wanted to be in. Unfortunately, now Google has dead links pointing to my site where the content used to be. Any idea roughly how long it takes for the links to drop off of Google? |

I'm really not sure. If you have a 404 page (on self-hosted WordPress) now would be a good time to set it up and make sure that it has an advertisement on it and a search box so that users can try to find what they are looking for.

hmmm.. I think getting a 404 page setup is as important as your blog. There are so many times when you delete the content or change the permalink/slug but you have already publicised your blog with old permalink.. in that case using a good and intuitive error 404 page is a must..
