That would be 24 hours of constant work promoting. ![]() But I guess that would be worth it to get a new blog launched with a big splash.

I don't think ones blog would appear on the first search result page right away but at least google would have acknowledged your blogs existence.

Right, being indexed is a start, not success. Before you are indexed you aren't even in Google's "memory" so to speak so you won't ever appear in search results. When you are indexed there is the potential for you to appear, but it will probably be a while before you start getting a lot of search engine visits.

I fixed the link for you. ![]() And geesh, that seems like a lot of work in 24 hours when it can be done spaced out and happen more naturally anyway.

Actually I'm starting to think he meant they would require 24 hrs of straight work.

They're talking about indexing, not ranking Indexing is simply showing up when you do a "site:nameofsite.com" search on google - i.e. does google know about the site and how many pages do they know about Ranking is where those pages google knows about actually show up in the results pages based upon on-page SEO, external links pointing to pages, etc. Note: google only show a percentage of the pages they know about when you do a site search - use yahoo site search instead - they give the full list - and if yahoo has got your pages, google will have them too |

There should not be any ways to get indexed...really. Lately Google have been quietly doing changes in splitting out search results patterns within their options page on the serps. Various filters were added. Changes to Maps - user content displays, mobile search, etc. Always road shows about search... But it appears next to nothing (or revealed) about indexing has been done. Worthy content should be naturally indexed as soon as, rather than us galloping around numerous directories, sites, etc, to sign up...to get a quick simple index.
