Default Ireland from a Polish Perspective

Here is my first and the oldest blog. I have been living in Ireland for 15 months and since that time I have been bloging on Ireland, its culture, history, social and political issues as well as Polish emigrant community.

Ireland from a Polish perspective

Enjoy!

Clean layout, great frequency and good pictures. Those are my first thoughts on your blog. I think it will serve as a great resource for polish immigrants who are moving to Ireland or anyone who is immigrating to Ireland in general which I assume are lots as it's the doorway to the European Union.

What made you decided to move to Ireland (sorry if it's in the blog I didn't go that in-depth).

Thanks for joining, now to check out your photo blog! This definitely qualifies for our promotion.

Thanx

The most obvious reason why most of the Poles came to Ireland or UK is money of course, but it is not the only one reason. I am professional archaeologist (MA) and travelling is the inseparable part of my job. If I had been working in Poland I would be away as well. I have been always a vagabond so it was a new place, new experiences for me. I wanted to see Ireland especially after 10 years of travelling to Scotland. Also I like Gaelic culture, and traditional so called "Celtic" music and Ireland or Scotland are probably best places for such things

Actually I haven't move over. I have one foot on the Polish ground and another on Irish one. My family (wife, mother etc.) live in Poland so I am going home as often as I can.

P.S. I will wait 10 days to be allowed to ask for reviewing my blog

I read in headlines last time I was in the UK and I read that the government is hiring polish speaking police officers as northern Wales is becoming a hot spot for immigrants from all over Europe especially Poland.

Traveling does have a certain euphoric feel to it that I'm looking to feel sometime soon. I think you're doing a great service though to others whom will one day follow your path and immigrate to Ireland and would like an idea of what to expect.

Best Regards and be sure to visit the other parts of the forum and ask whatever questions you may have.

Whole British Isles (both UK and Ireland) are the most targeted countries by the Polish emigrants, since both of them were the first ones which opened labour market for us.

I will check out the other sections of the forum.

Regards
