This is my blog about where I live in Northern Alaska! I use my opinion, some true facts, and some fantastic photos to show what I am writing about.

I love your header! Great blog. Alaska is always a place I have been fascinated with.

Interesting blog. One thing I would fix though is the picture at the top of the right sidebar. It is "squished" along the X-axis. Always keep the original aspect ratio of images you use on the web and you'll site(s) will look much more professional.

I have no idea what you are talking about! I checked it with all the browsers and the picture seems fine on the right. Maybe you could elaborate....

What does the original aspect ratio of images mean?

I love it! My parents went to Alaska a couple of years ago on a cruise and the pictures were absolutely lovely! If you're looking for any suggestions, the only thing I would say is the fonts in the top, and maybe add a bit more color in a few places, but that's just my $0.02. I really like your blog, though! You definitely have a niche that not many other people fill.

What does the original aspect ratio of images mean?

What I mean is that if the original picture was say 640x480 pixels, when you reduce it in size keep the ratio between the width and the height, so if it started as 640x480 then when you reduce the image size make it maybe 320x240. Looking back at the picture I think I was wrong. Perhaps that image is the same aspect ratio, it just looked a little bit squished along the X-axis direction.

Funny you say that about the color as others say maybe too much color...

I am really not sure what you are talking about with the fonts on the top.. top where?? And what is it that you don't like?

Okay! Whew! (wipes brow) Thank-you for your clarification! I was frantically searching it out on all the browsers trying to see what you were talking about?

I understand now what you mean by original aspect ratio... I do... do that!

Tho I am still confused by what X-axis direction means!..

Boy oh boy this blogging stuff is hard work!
