Definately hot! I think you have a great blog with a real niche. Lots of people want to read about fishing but often those who write don't have the adventures or pictures that you do. You are someone living the fishing for big sharks off the coast of South Africa dream and blogging about it; a perfect combination for a successful blog. I caught a shark off the cost of England unfortunatly it was one of the smallest members; the dog fish .

What categories are you using right now? I don't really see any jump out at me, if you targetted some tags <categories> in technorati that were popular such as fishing, sharks, deep sea fishing and I'm sure a few combo ones you would get even more visitors.

Interesting blog and thanks for joining and sharing it with us, if you refer to your blog again in a forum and for your signature here I recommend you read this post on how to post on forums for best results.

Welcome to Bloggeries,
Rob

By tags do you mean the tags I add on at the end off each post. I'm still very new to blogging so Still Slow. I'm sure to use the advice that I do understand. The rest I'll just ask

Default What are Technorati Tags ? Just categories!

Go to technorati.com and do a tag search (option on main page). Type in tags like "Fishing", Deep Sea Fishing, Shark Fishing, South Africa a whole bunch. Then make appropriate categories in your blog. Then when you make a post each post should go under the category aka technorati tag best suited for it. That way when someone goes to technorati and does a Deep Sea Fishing, your blog will come up in the list sending you targetted traffic.

You can also visit this thread on "Understanding Technorati Tags and Categories on your blog."

I trust this helps,
Rob

I searched for Sport Fishing for Big Sharks in South Africa - Google Search and came out first on the results. That is the title of your reply. Thanks for making things more understandable to me.

Default Catch any Big Sharks Fishing off the Coast of South Africa Lately?

No problem ghost,

It's mutually beneficial. I saw yesterday a few searches for it. Whenever you post your blog you should post it with "Shark Fishing etc...." and then link that to your blog instead of just putting the URL. People search keywords not url's so you'd get better results if you did that from now on.

P.S Have you caught any big sharks fishing off the coast of south africa lately?

Default Images for shark fishing

Hi Bloggeries

I have not got a big one YET. Just small hound sharks at Santos beach.

I need some help. If I search for "shad little brak" it shows my blog on google but not when I set it to search images. How can I correct that.
Thanks

Default Getting an image to show up in image search - use alt text

Let me know when you pull in a big one. The dog fish I caught I snagged so not sure if it still counts I was getting frustrated and snagged one on the side.

Regarding your image coming up on image search you need to use the alt text in your image,

1) bloggeries - Google Image Search

2) http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3Den%26sa%3DG

Open them in that order.

Than right click and go to properties on the main image with our logo - the bloggeries blog review logo ontop of the blog.

You'll see it has "Bloggeries Blog Review" as the "alt text" just fill in the alt text on your images if you want them to get picked up.

I hope this helps,
Rob
