What I want to read in something like this is practical experiences. Name some hotels that were good and affordable. Talk about how you felt (safety wise) in different places.

Maybe make a scale for each location you goto

Safety
Scenery
Cost of Living
Largest Contrast You noticed
Things you liked; things you didn't like.
How it compares to North America on the scale.
...

That type of thing. We can see pictures and read about historic sites anywhere but from a blog of someone traveling the world kinda make it out as a road map of how you did it so other adventurous souls can have something to refer to when they plan on doing it. Above all else I want real world first hand experiences with cool photos when possible to help further describe the experience.

Say I'm going to Bali; I'll search your blog to see what areas you stayed in, what some of the attractions were that you enjoyed or didn't and why, what you liked and disliked about it. Basically as personal as possible and as we get to know you we'll see if it's something we'd like. If by reading your blog I realize we are similar I'll take it at face value. if you're more fearless I"ll factor that into your words and how I'd react if I go there...

Regarding layout etc I have nothing to say as it's top notch. Also I just started reading your blog so maybe you are doing some of the things I suggested. If not maybe you should start as I am a target audience as you're living something I really want to do one day.

Noted. But I have no desire to be a guide book or a hotel review site. There is plenty of places you can go for that now and it really isn't interesting to write about.

i think you should write about what is the best thing that you like there and what is the worst thing that happened to you in that place..

and it would be very helpful if you could give some tips on budget while travelling to a certain place and what should other people expect from the trip..
