Do not use so much social bookmarking buttons, at the end people end up using none. Put just 2 - 3 that work best for you.

Take a look at this list of best social media sites maybe you can find one in your niche?

I figured that people would find the one social bookmark they use from my grand selection of them. I'll think about cutting them back, I only see Digg, Stumble and Technori being used by anyone currently.

I have an 'add this' button on my sidebar that opens up to show pretty much all of the social bookmarking sites for people to choose from.

your site touched my heart. i volunteer at the SPCA. i will pass this one along.

just a suggestion, your images have blue borders around them which isn't necessary. when i click on them, i get the same size photo which opens on a new page. it's a little misleading.

You should do a category just for pet photos. Get people to send in their own photos and post a new one a few times a week. This will get people coming back to the blog to see their photos and what person in their right mind doesn't love a cute pet photo?

Just a thought.
