My blog Kamikaze Earth is about politics, the economy, and just outright absurdities i see on a daily basis. Check it out, criticize away, i get plenty of it living with an English Major, lol.

I like the name, love the dark/space background, and you do seem to have lots to say as well as (don't listen to the English Major!) a real way with words...
but you might want to revisit the advertising block that's placed right up top of your front page.

It hit me in the eye with a white-background golf ad, jarring against the black bg and confusing because it didn't seem to have anything to do with the content I was expecting to see... plus, it bumps your content way down the page so visitors have to scroll.

They say you'd got something like 1-2 seconds to grab a visitor's attention when they first come to your blog, so maybe you'd want the first impression to be "Hey, cool, must read more..."?
