Review Me Please!

I have been updating my blog and would like some people to review it and offer advice or just let me know what you think.

Do you mean the blog in your signature? Personally I'm not really a fan of a 3 column lay out - Looks very busy. Also I think you've got maybe too many ads to the point that it is distracting from the content.

hey carfor12, just looked at your blog and here are my two cents.

appearance: i liked the colors and fonts you chose for your blog. however, seeing that you have been blogging for several years now, i'd suggest customizing your blog layout a bit more. that way, it would draw more attention from potential readers.

content: it seems you often tend to post just a link to another blog post or article. it'd be nice to read your thoughts on those links. i would certainly enjoy reading more of your own material! while i enjoy content that is concise and have a point, i feel blogs should offer some elaboration. that way, i feel like it was worth going through the blog. of course, this could also include original photos, videos, etc.

miscellaneous: for now, i would say get rid of the advertisements until you gain more more readership (at least thousands more). the chucks of ads just take away from the reader experience.

Hi, carfor12!

I just went to your site. The unusual colors of the text and decoration grabbed me, but were a bit hard to read. I like your idea of having different designs on your right columns. The BlogUpp ad made me a bit dizzy though.

I think you have a great start on an original blog. To make it even better, I would perhaps move the distracting type moving ads to the bottom (or delete them) and add about 50-100 words of your own about each article you feature. That would make it a lot more personal to your readers.

I would also make an "About Me" page or section at the top of your blog so people can feel that they know more about you and want to return to find out more.

I am new here and this is actually the first post I have submitted to the forum! With that said, I do like your blog. I am a fan of the color pink and I like the "sweet" feel to it. I also have to agree with some of the other comments on here though. The ads are a bit overwhelming and distract the reader. There is so much going on that I'm not sure where to look! Also, you may want to add more information to each post to describe the topic a bit more so your readers know a little more about what to expect when they click on your link. Other than that I think it's great! Your personality definitely shines through.
