Hello fellow bloggers... Now that I've found my basic layout my current project is how and what to advertise. Over the last few days I've done a lot of work signing up for affiliate programs and optimizing my layout for adverts. I would like you're honest opinions about the placements. To me they seem to be in the least obtrusive places (typical sidebar locations, between posts, and the footer). My main goal is to not overwhelm the reader with too many adverts in a single view. That is to say that your browser window should have at most 3 adverts preferable 2 no matter where you are on my blog. My main priority is to offer readable content first and foremost so please let me know if you think that something is TOO much and I will look into finding a way to optimize it. Thanks so much for all your help thus far and thanks for your continued support! ![]() TheEventOf...

You have a pretty clean, well written blog. And I'd vote for Colin Firth for the King's Speech too. I saw that movie and loved it. Amazing acting!! Your blog is interesting to see how you've placed the ads - You've done a good job of not making them too intrusive. I wonder why you have not gone with an Amazon.com ad. It seems like that would be a vehicle for selling DVDs, or books, or movie related things. ? I've actually thought a lot about adding an Amazon.com widget to my own blog. And I saw the Social Network too and loved it. That could get best picture! There is still a number of nominees I need to see - I liked Toy Story 3 too.

Ad placement is great. Not at all intrusive, but still obvious enough so they're not missed. Your post images work well as I cannot see the difference between them and the ads. This might be a not-so-good thing though, if people are fearful of clicking the images just in case they are ads.

Toy Story's only real challenge i the animated movie category is How To Train Your Dragon which was also an awesome movie and I wouldn't be upset if that got the Oscar as it wasn't a sequel and thus somewhat more original of an idea. Thanks for taking the time to look at my blog and I'm glad to hear your confirmation that my ads have been placed well! Looks like it's back to 100% focus on content for me - YAY!

I see you use the flexibility theme. It is one of the best (and most flexible ) themes outhere. Other than that, I like your blog, and its subject.

I like your blog too! I think you have done a great job with the ad placement. The look is clean and not too "salesy"
