Thanks for the specific input. I've removed the navbar (it's a Blogger blog), and can't find a way to keep the "follow" button without it. I've added both an RSS subscription button and an email subscription button in my sidebar, though, and hopefully that makes up for it.

As for the comments... I had them enabled for a while but having 0 comments for every single post for the first couple weeks looked trashy, so I'm removing the option until I get a sufficient amount of daily traffic.

hey chuckles, i've been to your blog before! but here are my thoughts:

content: i think your posts are pretty fun and easy to read and i like that it's a lot of random thoughts. however, i definitely want you to elaborate on each thought. sometimes, it's too short and leaves me hanging!

appearance: the header and the colors are nice and neither too bold nor too soft. it blends easily into the content.

miscellaneous: i see there's no widget to really follow the blog, but i don't think that's too much of a problem. either way, i'll be back to read more!

hey Made2Show, here are my comments on your blog:

content: at first, i was confused as to what the posts were about, but i see that you're summarizing things you see on the web. most, if not all, of your posts are short and simply directs the reader to another site. while many successful blogs take this approach, i think you're missing the key component of adding your own commentary. i would like to see some elaboration of what links are about and what you think of it. also, try to limit the number of links you put in a post, as too many can be off-putting to the reader.

appearance: i like the simplicity and the colors that you use. it fits well with the blog. the one thing that bothers me is how your sharing widget includes "more" in the box. initially, i thought that meant "more" to the article...

miscellaneous: it would be great if you could set your header to becoming a home button as well. also, adding the option to comment would be nice.

hey Mekalikot, just a sidenote; underlining and coloring in a word does not turn it into a link...otherwise, here are my thoughts on your blog!

content: i think this is a personal blog but am confused by some of the content. are there products you're pushing for? either way, i would like to see more reader-friendly posts, as it is somewhat hard to relate to the content solely because i am unsure of the messages involved.

appearance: i'm a bit turned off by the header and the black background because i feel it makes everything too dark. also, because your ads are the same color as the posts and the posts are shortened (by the "read more" option), i'm led to think this blog consists only of ads and therefore don't want to click any further.

miscellaneous: my least favorite parts are the traffic counters and the post asking to 'like' your blog. making a successful blog does not come out to asking everyone to look at it, but through people liking your content. i would rather have 50 views from people that took time to read each post rather than 100 views that just clicked and link and then exited.

hey Torkona, i read your torkona blog, and here are my thoughts:

content: i like that you're writing about the little things that make your personal blog, and found some of the posts to be quite interesting! keep it up! lastly, if you're using content from other sources, make sure to credit them!

appearance: for some reason, i'm not liking the gray background, but that is probably just my personal preference. otherwise, i like the layout of your blog.

miscellaneous: i think you might be gone just a bit of the number of ads a blog should have. while it's great to make some money just from views, some of the blogging community might be turned off by ads in a blog.
