I am an Aussie and I write about random stuff. My main goal is to entertain. I don't have a niche, I could write about anything. Well, I guess my niche is laughter!! And that is what I want to bring to people. A bit of a chuckle as well as an interesting read.

Hopefully I can entertain you and improve my blog. After 1 month, I have had almost 700 views. I am greatful for each view I get and I hope to be grateful for yours.

I know exactly what you mean by one minute you are here and the next minute you drift off... Its a family tradition for me. I like blogs with originality like yours. Anyone can go find 500 jokes someone else wrote and stuff them in a blog, and name it a joke blog. To me thats not very creative, its just content you can see at any other joke site.

I had the pleasure of being in your fantastic country in the late 80s. It reminded so much of the states it felt like I never left home except for the aussie accent which I like. Sydney is one of the nicest cities I have ever visited abroad. I almost went back last year but a friend talked me into going to Amsterdam for the first time. I cant say I have any regrets. If it wasnt so cold in Amsterdam I might move there for good.

Congrats on venturing out into the blogging world after just over six months into it myself I'll tell you it's definitely a lot of work!

Here are some things I saw that I thought you could improve upon in your blog.

- One post displayed on your landing page makes your blog seem somewhat limited. I think displaying between 7-10 posts is good. That way you'll have more opportunity for your readers to find something they might have missed. People don't typically like to click multiple times to navigate through a site.

- Your stat counter at the bottom of your page doesn't really tell you much. Install google analytics or some other analytic meter which gives you insight into unique visitors, time on site, page views, what content is being viewed most often and so much more.

- Constantly tweak your color, layout, font, and presentation of your blog. When someone first sets foot on your site they are only going to stick around if they like what they see. Your site (in my opinion) is somewhat bland. There's just not a lot to draw attention and I've found it difficult to stay focused on the topics.

- I've noticed that you do have adsense. It will take a long time to get any sort of reasonable income from your blog and don't stress out about it. Just keep writing your content, focus on tweaking the look and feel of your blog, the content and your blogging voice for the first year or so of your blogging career. It's okay to have the ads there (i've advertised since day one) but don't expect them to make you much money until you're getting tens of thousands of unique visitors a day.

Just one piece of advice: Only having one post on the homepage kind of made your blog feel empty. I wanted to read more but I couldn't find it very easily.
