Default Re: Check my blog's portfolio site!

I have to say I love the site. The design is simple but attractive and uses a combination of my favorite colors. =P

Some suggestions:
  • Add something like Lightbox, Shadowbox, or FancyZoom so that when someone clicks the thumbnails, it zooms in on the same page; I absolutely hate when I click a thumbnail and it loads up that generic white page with the image because it breaks away from the layout of the site
  • You should add more text to the home page. Maybe describe why each service would be useful, I don't know. Generally for SEO purposes. I also own a web/print service and the top 10 for most keywords have more content.
  • Consider offering either web maintenance services or invest some time into learning PHP if you only offer HTML/CSS. Clients want extreme ease when updating their sites. Offering only front-end coding extremely chokes a user's ability to edit the site. Therefore, you need to do it for them or develop a custom admin panel with PHP/MySQL.
  • With PHP, you can develop a contact form instead of using the mailto: anchor, which is very outdated as well annoying to users. I can make a form for you if you'd like; I don't mind doing it for free, it takes like five seconds. =P
I really love your art. The style is right up my alley. I'm a digital painter, web designer, traditional artist, and photographer so I'll be following you on dA and add your page on Facebook. =]
