New blog, New content, No Pandas

PiratePasta has been in existence for around six months, providing funny pictures, videos and comics. The other day I decided to wipe fresh everything on it (due to my lack of pride in it), and re-install wordpress, get a clearer, fresher theme and create new, original content that I can be proud in. Effectively, the motivation has changed from profit to wanting to actually blog.

Just want to know what you guys think of the theme, content and update schedule (monday, wednesday, saturday).

I find the layout clean and nice. But i personally find the color scheme a little bit too white. Dunno what the others think.

I agree with Interpersonal, a little too white, but I do prefer simplistic themes over crowded ones. I`m sure it`ll be great either way once you get going.

Pretty sweet layout, but in some places you could switch to a less boring (though still crisp) font.

I kind of agree with others that your blog needs a little something to spice it up. It is very simplified with a lot of white.

I'm impressed that you have a schedule for publishing content. At least for me, I'd have great trouble following such a schedule.

I liked your blog. I left three comments on your blog. I like the content, the organization. I rarely leave that many comments. I became interested in the "who" of you. There are parts that I didn't like. I don't like the moderating for comments. I left before I knew whether the comments were accepted or not.

Your article on video games was interesting as well as the one on the
African philosphy. Good Job

I think the simple theme works well. Love the blog.. especially the title. I had other things to write, but I've forgotten them Doh. Oh well! Good work though! Ahh PiratePasta... Makes me happy.

I have a question, because I've seen this complaint a few times.

I've only been blogging for a couple of months and I've gotten tons of spam comments. If you don't moderate your comments, how do you prevent that spam from getting on to the site?

Thanks for the feedback guys, hope you subscribe I'll look into spicing up the theme a bit some time, but for now I'm happy to have the content focused. You guys have certainly been a big motivation, and thank-you @workinghard for the comments, they were all improved.

To follow up with @ScottK, i'll certainly start a thread to ask that question.

I also found the blog very dull, you should add some colours. Also you should add some more widgets like top commentator, popular post etc.
