So I just did a comic book review of Beasts of Burden. Enjoy.

And mrtrolah: it all depends on personal taste I guess. Personally, I find comics of popular superheroes like Batman or X-Men to be boring. Instead, I like comics like Hellboy. And one of the best graphic novels I could recommend you is Watchmen by Alan Moore. It's on TIME's 100 Greatest Novels list. Or if you'd prefer something less taxing on the brain for your introduction to comics, try something from Frank Miller like Sin City.

Very nice. I think your intro to the review was interesting enough to get me curious. However, I would recommend possibly leaving out spoilers. After all, most of the people reading your review are going to be doing so because they want to know if the comic book is worth buying. Giving too much information defeats the purpose.
Also, if you have it within your power/resources to get a professional comic book style blog logo/header done that would really increase your authority. Maybe pick some of your favorite comic book characters and write Dark Horse asking them for permission to use the images to create a blog header. I suggest making it dark and evil looking. Would suit the mood of the comics.

Wow,, that is very attractive, well assembled blog, real nice job. I could gripe about the 5-7 second load time but it was worth the wait so I'll keep my mouth shut... Good work.

Hehe, thanks. But I haven't been updating lately on the count I got sick for a week and it really drained me of my ideas. Well, the good ones anyways.
