I have to be honest...but when I click on a site and the first thing I see is ads...I usually never look any further. Making your ads less prominent would be a great place to start.

Yes. I agree with much of what's been said here, but for me the big flaw of your blog is not color scheme or small print, it's content. People will visit your site hoping to learn how to make money while working from home. But your site is not about that. It's about how you've tried to make blogging pay, and from what I read on your blog it doesn't seem to be paying you. Readers won't visit your blog just to view lots of ads and hear repeatedly that you've not yet figured out how to make money with your blog.

I agree with Melody. You'll have much better luck if you blog about something that you're passionate about. I've read about plenty of folks who've started websites with no intentions of making money, but they loved what they wrote about and worked hard to make the sites informative and useful for readers. And guess what, they later discovered opportunities to make money, and some of those folks were able to quit their day jobs.

First of all nice try, lets put of a happier spin on this there right about the colors and font you kinda want a blog to flow and a pleasure to read, i dont agree with melody that should just scrap the blog all together if you enjoy what your doing then keep it up i would rather read about working from home then a coffee shop tbh, just dont give in take peoples advice tweek your blog, dont make your ads stand out make them blend and dont have too many.

just dont give in alot of people can be a bit harsh with the reviews and 90% dont make money blogging is because they give up!.

The blog does seem a little daunting, hard to differentiate what is from you, what is an ad etc... Good luck on your quest to work from home!

Thank you for all the advice, even though some of it was a bit harsh. I appreciate constructive criticism and will look at what I can do to make some of these changes.

Take some time and look at either a WordPress or Joomla "news" template.

Check out other financial sites for ideas... and take a good look at how they place their ads. Make it part of the site and not stand out like a cold sore
