I like your blog a lot. Only thing I would suggest is getting rid of the text from your header and adding it to your logo/banner instead. It would look smoother

Are you referring to the blog title?

The theme that I used originally just had a black/gray bar as the header with the text over it like that, and I still haven't changed the text part yet.

Should that say "check it out"?

It indeed should have said "check it out." Thanks! I'm usually pretty good about spelling, not leaving words out, and overall editing, but I definitely screwed that one up!
