The layout is pretty cool on the first one. It's a good example of a very simple layout that still manages to stand out (the red blood/ink/whatever drops).

I like the first one ... maybe because it has some activity but somehow it catches more. The 'Pretend to write' one looks too simple but I do like the header very much.

I only looked at jacky rants. I planned to come down on you, but I did enjoy it. I guess if I had to say anything, bringing in a guest blogger to blog about the overuse of the phrase "lol" didn't really help your blog at all. I mean, I think everyone, even the "lol" abusers has thought that whole thing through and we all know it's stupid. So that wasn't like a "plus". Nor was it a negative I suppose.

ekillian i really appreciate the criticism! (i actually had the exact same thought when i posted it... but decided to go through with it.) it helps a lot to know readers think of those rants.
