Red face My New (pretty bare) blog!

Hey everyone please let me know what you think so far, I mean there's not much to comment on, but even still I'd appreciate anything. Also I'd love some comments or followers and I'd be more than happy to follow anyone else's blogs. I really would like some links in the blogging world!! My blog is just a hobby one, Ill be posting things I see, like, experience, want to do, think about, and I'm really into crafts!!! Does anyone know of any amazing craft blogs? Or is anyone interested in linking up if you too are into crafts? Thanks guys!!!! xoxo

Very nice. Keep up the good work. One thing that people who read blogs really love is to see a series, for example, about how you made the quilt. If you have pictures of the process, and the quilt in various stages of construction it would be even better.

I would suggest that for future projects you post about the project at the start and then post pictures as it progresses as this is something that most people find really interesting.

Hi la'mill - I left a comment on your blog. I like crafts so I was impressed with the quilt!

My only thought for your blog (which is beautiful) is that you have a beautiful blog design and a relatively conservative image to the blog but yet you've got sort of 'sexy' pic of you in your profile (only mildly so). The two things are a little inconsistent with each other.

I'll check back your blog again as you're updating.

I like the layout of your blog and the color of your background is soothing. I think you will find your audience. I agree that you should show a the beginning of your new quilt. It would be interesting to follow.

thanks so much guys, really good advice. And Melody I know what you mean, good point. I was thinking about having a profile photo that no one knew who I was and I thought... maybe I could use one where I'm in a costume haha. It was Lady Gaga lol.
Anyway its changed now, let me know what you think And I'm glad my background is 'soothing'!!

Much appreciated everyone. xoxo

And thanks Nathan, I really wanted to post a step-by-step about how I made the quilt, but I started making it about 4 years ago and never thought to record the steps back then But I definitely would have posted them if I had the photos Do you think I should still post a step-by-step guide even without photos? Maybe I could draw pretty good pictures of each simple step? I dont know, what do you think?

Thanks a lot BlueH Life. Yeah I need to work on my header among other things. I quickly made that so my blog didnt look too crappy. Do you have any tips for how to create a really good one because I don't know any good ways yet? Thanks xoxo

It's really nice. Nice enough that I can't think of a single piece of advice, so I just wanted to say, really nice.

It is up to you. However, I will say this: tutorials perform really well. If you write something like "How to make a _____ quilt" you tend to get search engine visits. If the tutorial is really good and you get it out before the right audience you will also get links that will bring in traffic.

Tutorials can be a really valuable asset on your blog. If I were you I would definitely try them.
