First of all, if you are linking to a YouTube video you might as well embed it in your blog. It will look better that way and it will allow the visitor to watch the movie right in your blog.

Second you need to write longer posts. The posts are really short, pretty much smaller than the ads. You need to write more text if you want visitors because visitors are attracted to text that they can read.

Third, the ads are way too much. You should remove them right away because if you put AdSense ads on your site within the first 30 days it can get your banned from Google search results for about six months because they assume that you are a spam site just trying to make money.

If I were you I would take a look around at other popular music blogs and try to make your site and content look like theirs.

I had no idea about adsense's policy. That's weird because they invite you to monetize your blog right away.

I nixed the last post, and I'll do some research on write a longer post. I'll also write more in my previous post.

How do you embed a youtube video? I know really stupid question...just couldn't find the right button other than just hyper-linking.

To embed a YouTube video go to the video on YouTube and then copy the embed code on the right hand side of the screen. Then go to your post, click Edit HTML, and the paste the code into your blog post.

Congrats on getting your blog up and running! I think Nathan is right your posts seem a little short. Since it is a music blog, maybe you could have some images/pics of country artists you're featuring, and I like Nathan's idea of being able to watch music videos.

As to ads, I'd just say not to have them at all until the blog is well-established, but I completely understand that my thinking on blogs is not totally normal. It seems like most people want ads so they can monetize their blog.
