Not really looking to make money, but I would like to increase traffic, so I can make a difference. If I do make a little money that would be a cool though

I haven't done any SEO, or much directory listing (need to research it first), mostly just social networking and email.

I do want to host my own site at some point.

I fixed the post title for you. You could have done that by editing the first reply in the thread.

I think you have a good blog start. The titles are nice and descriptive and you seem to have good content. I think there is something wrong with your theme though. The post title bump right up against the lefthand edge of the post area. You need to add padding or margin CSS statements to the post titles, or better yet to the poast area itself.

The post title looks ok to me, the thing I see that bumps the edge is the date of the post....is that what you mean? I will try to post a picture when I get home.

I am also glad you liked the content because I thought it may have been lacking. Maybe because of my inexperience as a writer. But the purpose is to get good quick information to the reader. Not to where he/she has to sit and read for 30 minutes.

Yeah I did notice that, but I have no xml or css experience, i can fumble through html. So basically I would know where to start.

I will tinker with it and see what i can come up with.

You'll probably have to edit the CSS. Let me see if I can help you out. Click "Edit HTML" in the Layout tab and then find this:

h2.date-header {
margin-top:0;
margin-right:28px;
margin-bottom:0;
margin-left:43px;
font-size:85%;
line-height:2em;
text-transform:uppercase;
letter-spacing:.2em;
color:#ffffff;
}

Replace that code with this:

h2.date-header {
display: block;
margin-top:0;
margin-right:28px;
margin-bottom:0;
margin-left:63px;
font-size:85%;
line-height:2em;
text-transform:uppercase;
letter-spacing:.2em;
color:#ffffff;
}

Try increasing the value on margin-left or adding a line that says

padding-left: 20px;

if the above code snippet doesn't work.

Hopefully that will fix it.
