Default This Vet's Story

My old blog about vet school was quickly coming to an end as my graduation is immenent, so I have set about creating my next blog.

Dr Ferox's life as a veterinarian — This Vet's Story

The template was simple, as I was finding some load time issues with the old one, but I have been trying ot jazz it up a bit.

Post are slow at the moment until graduation in a week's time, at which point I intend for each post to have a bright picture with it.

I may monetise eventually but I'm putitng it off for now. I'll probably add entrecard and Cmf widgets in when I think i'm ready. I have credits saved up to advertise it.

I'm not sure whether intense debate is the current 'in thing' for comment extensions or not, but as I haven't shown it to anyone else yet there's no comments to speak of.

So give me some feedback. I wanted it to be easy to read and use, but inviting to look at.

Very nice! No you are no longer "Nearly Dr. Ferox"

I noticed a few spelling mistakes in that top post. If you use the Firefox browser you get a built-in spellchecker to help prevent those glitches.

Other than that the design of the blog looks clean and open. The only thing that I might recommend is that you make the post area just a tad wider. Right now it seems a little restrictive with its narrowness. That slows down reading because I have to flick my eyes back and forth more often.

I love it...very interesting!

If I was in school to be a vet, I would follow your posts for sure!

The layout's one of my favorite blog layouts because of how easy it is to read and navigate.

For everything!

I tried tweaking the theme to widen the content column, but it ends up asymetrical and I don't want to break it. I may figure it out after those sidebars are filled in more effectively.

Spelling is something I always have to work on, particularly when typing quickly. I know firefox has a spellchecker, but I turned it off in hte hope that it would stop my browser from crashing so fequently. I've had some issues.

Some of my old readers have already followed me across. MAkes me feel very wanted.

Your blogs are so beautiful. Very clean lines. Very clear topics. Nice use of pics here and there. Wow. I looked at the "Nearly-Dr" blog and the new one too.

That's nice. Its good when you have an active userbase like that. Most of my traffic is from search engines so I don't really have that kind of following.

Ah well...

Don't worry, more than 50% of my traffic was search engines too, but it turns out there are a few regular readers out there for me too.

I used to have sezwho running but think that was phased out. What program replaced it, do you know?

I'm not really sure. A lot of the other similar services like JS Kit, etc all folded at about the same time.
