I have to admit, the topic of watching somebody progress at something is always interesting... poker especially. I always love reading blogs that give progress reports!

Keep up the good work, poker is a lucrative niche if you can get the traffic!

I like the content - definitely interesting. I also like the overall blog. Not cluttered, but you still have ads and it is just right.

At some point you might want to consider a catchy color scheme, but it looks good now.

Thank you both very much. Stacy, I've been looking to change the colour scheme a little bit and have actually considered switching to wordpress. There seems to be more to choose from, and there are more poker themed templates that I can download and use. I'm not exactly sure how you switch, unless you just Copy and Paste everything. I'll look into it more when I get home from work. Right now I'm just killing time on my break. lol

Yup, that is what I had to do - copy and paste!!! Fortunately, my blog was only up for a week or 2 before I switched. Wordpress is easy to work with and you are right - TONS of casino, poker themes available!

The new theme might give you a real edge in your niche.

Wish I could help you with that! I have a paid web host that is really geared toward computer people, but somehow I got it done (I had stuff I had printed offline and a book all laid out and just folowed the directions). I have found that the word press forums are pretty good. You will get an answer quickly.

However, if I can do it, you can too!

I liked your blog "Journey to Being An Online Poker Pro." It sounds like you have put a lot of thought and practice into learning about playing poker, and actually doing it.

I think if I were an aspiring poker player, I definitely would read your blog, because you give some reviews about different poker games, and also share what some of the payouts are. You also described actual games that you played in, which was fun. I could tell you are serious about the game.

Adding Google Friend Connect and a subscribe area is a good idea. The Amazon books for sale go with the subject of your blog well.

Something you may consider doing is breaking your paragraphs up with a larger font and heading, or indenting your paragraphs, which would also break up the space some. Your bottom postings have spaces in between the paragraphs, which also does this.

Well, I admit it was PARTIALLY why I did one but I love poker so much. I really do hope I can get back to playing it full time for a living again. I'd like to be able to spend more time at home with my son
