New to blogging and I'd love feedback

I have been blogging for roughly 4 months and average 150-180 views a day and would really like to see that increase. Any tips/ideas?

I'd like to follow you, but you aren't on networked blogs (facebook) and I don't see a way to follow through your site.

For some reason I can't get that RSS feed widget to work in my blog.
But wayyyyyy down on the very botton - in small print - is the RSS feed to subscribe.

I eventually want to do a cooking blog and I have found my niche (which I am very excited about!). But for now, I have the kind of blog that does not need daily posts and allows me to post about many different topics that interest me. Still getting the hang of blogging, but so far I LOVE IT!!

I am also going to send your link to my coworker - who is the only one I know with a preschooler.

So how do I get linked thru facebook? I have a personal facebook page with my website showing. Do you set up a facebook page for your website all by itself?

If you notice on my site on the left I have three small icons and an email button. I can send you the code for those so you can have a facebook, twitter, rss and "email me" links (assuming you would want/use them). I did not make them with a widget but with images I got from a free social media icon site and with linking. I don't know if that is the official way to do it, but it worked for me.

In regards to Facebook, I went in and made a page for my site, and added it to networked blogs. Then I started getting fans and whenever I update my site's facebook page, the "fans" get to see it on their walls.

This is what I made, it wasn't very difficult.

I bet Betsyanne that you can find other authors, fellow teachers and friends who'd want to share their classroom experiences with the world.

Klutze, love your photography, do you link your site through flickr? I bet you can join those baby photo pools and get traffic from flickr. There is a greater proportion of men on flickr than women - you might be able to reach your target population through your photos.

As for promotion, part of having multiple authors is that they tell their friends/family about articles they write (mostly through facebook)... I am also part of a few forums and blog carnivals and guest post every opportunity I can. I would love to see it grow more, but have no clue how to get past social networking as a method to share my blog. Social networking is really time consuming...

Any ideas?
