Hi everyone,
I need to know what you think of my blog and how I can make it better. I built it myself so bear with me. Also if you have any tips on getting exposure for it that would be great!

I'm new to the blogging scene, so I don't know how much value my input is...
Personally I'm not a fan of the "read more" button, unless its for older posts, I like to be able to read two or three full posts without having to do more effort than scroll down.

I like the stark contrast of the background with the text...

I think the biggest change you should to make is to go and change the title from "blog" to something more unique. It's a simple fix, and will make your site much more appealing in the tab bar.

Thanks, actually I meant to do that when I was on there today. I also wanted to loose the read more but I don't know how... I built this on iweb, so if anyone knows how to adjust that let me know!

I don't liike the "read more" either. It's very dark and I think you need some things on the sides. The content is very small in the middle with nothing else around it. I like the header but I think it could be toned down a bit. that against the black background makes it dark and kinda sore to the eyes.

O.K. I made some changes let me know what you think. Apple said you can not remove the "read more" even though there's nothing else to read.

I like the design, a bit too image-heavy in my opinion.

But other than that I think its just fine.

When the site loads, I can't instantly tell what it's about without scrolling and searching through a bit. That's fine if the visitors are likely to know you anyway, but if you're looking to drive traffic from search and other sources you'll need to fix this.

Hmmm... what should I add? I have the phrase "otherwise known as my life" after my headline mollk.net I guess I figured people would realize it's a personal blog from that, no?

I really like the look of your blog. The stark contrast from the black background and the light brown and white text looks great in my opinion.

I would actually respectfully disagree with some of the opinions above and say that the read more button is essential, especially for long posts. I don't want to have to scroll down long posts to get to the post that i want to read. It's good to have a "sneak preview" of what each post is and then decide what you want to read by clicking the Read More button.

I like the use of single pictures at posts (sorry, I can't understand people who don't like pictures in posts, unless those pictures are downright offensive, hard on the eyes or in overwhelming amounts).

One thing would be to modify the writing style so that it sounds less like a conversation (and more like a commentary) and to add paragraphs, although this being your personal blog about your kids, my comment on writing style might be invalid.

I do like the header by the way.
