Thumbs up An expressive space

I present to you my blog-which has been having a spring clean this weekend. My blog is a reflection of myself, through different means of expression and levels of awareness.

Let me know what you think.

Expressive World

Thank you.

I like the how you express with your blog posts. Especially your about page, kind of a mysterious feel to it. Like you're about to float off the ground and fly away.

But I like your most recent post, my childish side spotted this...

"Herbal Connections
by Ana

In the corner near the coffee machine lies a real treat.

Redbush, Cidreira, Green Tea, Apple and Spice, Nettle and Fennel and another mixture of spice.

One of each calls me each time I float into retreat,

Where serenity is enough to entice.

Each has a purpose attained to a choice of route tuning.

Just like the thunder in lightning.

The sound balances taste.

Do you have a secret stash anywhere, that reflects your most relaxed moments?"

I do believe that last quote is loaded, or very suggestive towards the "free thinkers" of our society... Ahaha, good job! I like it.

I like it, the picture banner is pretty! Clean, neat lines, easy to read, looks great!

I like your template. I've always enjoyed templates that are simple and functional, and yet look classy doing so.

A small piece of constructive criticism though-- I think you should spruce up your banner a little bit. The font used on it feels a little raw to me. It could do with a bit more style to match the rest of the blog.

Thank you so much, on all your comments.

I'll take you up on the font on the banner. You know when creating the banner, I was uncertain which font to use to make it stand out with style so I chose the one that is currently present to try and convey a sense of expression rather.

What kind of font style would you suggest, to match my template and blog?

Your layout is very nice - your header is alright (it's cutesy... and girly) A straight font would give it more of a polished look - something in the Arial, Tahoma, Century Gothic, Courier or Courier New, Eras Demi, Lucida Sans - would give it a PROFESSIONAL feel - you can thicken the lines or BOLD them... But something STRAIGHT... And either completely centered or to the left... or slightly off center to the left.

Your content, well, it's beyond my understanding in some ways, in others - it's like watching a free flowing mind think out loud, which is comfortingly nice.

You have a nice set up - no major problems whatsoever in the sidelines, nothing problematic and no glaring obvious issues.

I didn't like how the second page of previous posts set up - but then - if I were a regular follower, I wouldn't be looking backwards to see them - so it's very organized and a lot less problems for those who know what they are looking for - so it probably works for you and for your visitors.

BUT _ for the NEW visitor - it is an uncomfortable feeling to see the posts all closed up - because it can feel as tho you are trespassing in someone's home - to click on the "READ THE FULL POSTS" once you've gone that deeply into someone's blog - on a blog level (personal and not business) that your blog is at.

I hope that made sense.

Anyhow - you're doing quite alright.

Take Care.

Greetings WagerWitch.

Thank you for your indepth feedback and advice.

I will experiment with those font styles and see which one fits well with the background I like. I did not save the backdrop of the banner I just realised, so it will give me an opportunity to create another banner. I enjoy this.

I can relate with you in regards to the post excerpts. This is my first time using this kind of theme, and having teasers on old posts and not showing the entries as the first page. (I find this a real shame) I have had a look at the basic settings, and it doesn't look like I can make the post equally the same as the first page. I am sure there is a way to do it nonetheless, and will look further into that.

EDIT: I have just made my previous posts be shown in full, which am pleased about.

Thank you once again.

You're very welcome - and let me know when you come up with a new header... Stick to the easier to read fonts - you can get fancy... but don't get too swirly, or it becomes something else.

Enjoy making the header - I have a great time doing those also.

I do them like I do book covers - something that would make me pick the book up - off the shelf - something just different enough to scream out individual, but common enough to allow the reader to feel comfortable and not too off the mark.
