My new wordpress blog hosting site

Hi all,

I'm a newb here... just got an invite from bloggeries. So I figured there is no better way to get started than by tossing out a shameless plug!

I've just launched a free wordpress blog hosting site at Free Wordpress Hosting. The design still needs a few tweaks, but you get the idea.

I also run my personal blog on another domain and love every minute of it.

Thanks for allowing me the chance for an intro!

I like the domain for blogaught and think it has potential. I'm also interested in hearing about wordpress MU?

I also really like your personal blog. Google says goodbye to Page Rank This blog post in particular gave me a heart attack than made me laugh.

I had to do a double take when i saw conservablogs.com as I sponsored an ad on the main page a few months ago and still see traffic it from it on occasion.

Wordpress is a love hate thing! Can users upload their own themes/plugins etc? cos I'm really tempted to install it! Do you get the same portal features as on wordpress.com!? or would I have to do that myself?

Users have very little access to everything. They cannot upload anything. They can't even edit their own template because when you upload a theme it becomes available to everyone, meaning everyone is pulling the theme from the same file.

They can use widgets to play with their theme, but that's about it.

I'm blogging about it here in about an hour so I'll come back here and post a link to it when I'm done.

Thats one thing that annoys me with wordpress.com the lack of customisation - I HATE having to have preset themes! and no plugins - ugh!

MU is very much like WP.com. But, as far as plugins... you can give users any plugins you want. You can make any plugin globally available, or globally mandatory.
