Confessions of a Housewife

This is my baby, it began as a personal blog and then turned into a personal blog with PPP, it didn't 'mature' until about 2 months ago, when I stopped putting all the ppp ads in it and turned it from a personal blog to a housewife advice blog, which has gone wonderfully, I have doubled my subscribers and gained a lot of advertisers.

I still occasionally do a PPP opps but mainly for the 'Direct' opps or the higher priced ones, and ONLY if I can fit it in with the current subjects, I am much much more picky now.

It has a PR 4 and a great alexa, below 100,000.

Bad news is that it is going through a domain name switch, from dillydesigns . com to housewifeconfessions .com - I will be doing a 301 redirect on monday evening and working on getting all links pointed to dillydesigns to go to the new one.... pretty scary!!

Best of luck with your blog and great to see its high Alexa but don't you think if you stick to the current domain name it will be much better??? 301 redirect in my opinion is going to make things a little weird since those directories where you are listed will remove your link.... atleast i do the same if someone does a redirect to a site !

Hi Eve,

I've actually seen your blog before and I think it's got a great theme to it. The template, writing style and even the title font all fits in perfectly with the message of your blog.

You may have some issues at first with the 301 but if this is really picking up than there is really no good time to switch servers but the sooner the better. Hopefully as the other poster said there won't be too many issues or too many directory submissions etc to worry about.

I decided to keep the same domain name, it has a PR 4 and I just don't want to loose that, having a diffrent domain name has not been an issue, so I am not going to chance loosing links and page rank! :-)

So it is stating dillydesigns.com - dosent match but oh well!

I know, I need to do something like that, I am just stuck between what is too much to share LOL What sort of confessions would you like to see, maybe that will help me come up with a good way to do it
