Would love to hear your comments and help on how to increase traffic. I am at 100 a day. I would like to x100 that in a month and reach 10000 a day in a year. Is Blogspot a dumb place to be?

At first glance it could use some more personalization and regarding blogspot... Most sites when they get big if they are on blogspot move to a new domain and the blogspot just points to the old so if you are really serious why not make the jump it's $10 a year for a domain and you can get hosting for ~5$ or lower. It will also help you rank better for keywords eventually if you choose a keyword rich domain and it just makes you look more professional and serious.

Is this your first blog and how into it are you?

Apart from that seems like a cool blog and regardless if you switch or not best of luck and keep us posted.

Hi,

Traffic isn't something you can get quickly. I visited your blog and noticed a few things :

1) You only have 14 posts in 8 months ! It's not a lot at all. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but you can't expect too many visitors if you only post once every couple of months. For example, you haven't post at all between March and August...

2) You need a theme. I read every posts and I find them pretty good. Nothing wrong with your writing. But they don't focus on anything particular. It's tough to keep readers around if you jump from one thing to another...

3) Your template could use some color, customizing, just to reflect you better

Why do you want a lot of traffic ? Why do you blog ? These are the two main questions you need to answer first.

If you want to blog for fun, to meet people, to chat etc. then it'll come slowly as you increase your blog content, hang out to places like Mybloglog etc.

If you want to blog for money, you need a cool theme, to promote your blog (i.e what do you offer to people?), to be active in forums, comments etc.

I hope you don't mind my critics too much. It's just constructive criticism, there's nothing wrong with your blog but if you want that much traffic, you need to focus on blogging

I am blogging for fun, I did stop for 8 months because I was blogging about deppressing things in my life at first. Now it's a little more inane and light hearted. At the same time it's an experiment. I want to see if I can make money blogging. It's a cool concept to make money blogging.

Personally - I'd build up a readership before you go committing to anything hosting wise, domain wise, well their pretty cheap any way so why not!

Way to go Buttercup!!! (That felt different typing!)

Way to take the plunge. You will not be sorry; if you are passionate and plan on going the distance you'll be very happy you made the change. Change the header but before that go to Theme Viewer and choose a free template you like than make your header based on that. Maybe one day when you become super strong you will want your own custom so you don't need the footer links but that is neither here nor there now! Congrats on taking the plunge and let us help you make the site you always wanted.

Thank you. I'm still soo lost in the world of HTML. If you click on my About Page or my Archive page they go nowhere. I don't know what to do about. That. Where can I get help...
