What is the Best Podcasting Software for Mp3 Encoding and Audio Recording and Editing?
What kind of podcasting software are you currently using and or heard of?

For editing and mp3 encoding i use audactiy. For recording though I use a conference call number that has recording capability. Everyone I have interviewed is located remotely so this makes it easier.

Garageband
I've messed around with trying to make a podcast. Without trying to sound like a Mac fanboy...Garageband made it pretty simple. I think I used podpress plugin for Wordpress to get it on my blog.

I'm going away for a week vacation on Saturday, when I come back I'm going to be looking into podcasting very seriously; also I'm going to hopefully start using voice software for alot of forum posting. We'll see. Do you have any microphones you'd recommend or not recommend?

I record with a Skype extension, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Looking for alternatives before I do much more.
I encode with audactiy and post at Podomatic.

Keeping it simple for Mac users you can use garage band there is a podcast setting which help add random stuff to your blog like changing pictures its really good
