Why do you blog?

I thought I would start a thread, where people could discuss why they started blogging in the first place.
I started blogging because I wanted a place on the internet that I could call my own, and I could talk about anything I wanted with no rules but my own.

I blog for many reasons but here are few main ones why i blog. One to be heard, also the pleasure of being read, knowing that people not only read what I say, but value it as well, encourages me to keep blogging.

I blog because I have a lot to say. I must say that since microblogging sites have come out they have taken a TONE of my time. I just like writing things and speaking my mind. (Cough 5400 posts here).

I think it's a great outlet and if you talk to people many still don't even know what a blog is! Hopefully that will all be changed soon.

Yeah, microblogging has really been a huge hit! I love twitter, I am going to be up to 4000 tweets soon :P. Even facebook and myspace have microblogging now, its crazy.

I started blogging so I could get back into my creative writing. I never thought I would be blogging on the internet for all to see, but I have found it to be somewhat liberating and fun. I'm still a little trigger shy, but I think considering I've only been at it for 6 days I'm doing all right.

I blog because I needed an outlet for my thoughts. My other blog I started because I needed to hold myself accountable to really lose the weight this time - I had to do something drastic. I'm really enjoying both of my sites so far. Well, my Skinny blog has a real website with it, too, that's not 100% up yet, but it's in the making.

Before, I blog because it is part of my job.. I need to write lots of bloggeries a day to promote our site or the product that we are selling..

Now, I blog because I enjoy writing.. I enjoy seeing lots of people enjoying each of my bloggeries.. I know I am not that good when it comes to writing.. but, I think I am doing every thing to communicate to my fellow bloggers well..

i don't think it should be called a 'blog' if it a money making venture. that's what websites are for. unfortunately, it looks like its evolving towards that, more and more. i'm not against it, but it should have its own name. not blog though. i don't blog for money, or even rankings, etc.

Well right now I've just started a new blog...its a more personal blog about my life (only one post so far) but other people think that my life is so great so why not tell the world huh.- thats why im gonna dish out Bloggeries everyday
