How Often Should Posts be added to ones blog?

Running an "ecletic" sorta blog, I am hardly ever hard put to come up with something to post---sure it may be of questionable quality, but my readers tell me it amusing and of interest

I publish three postings yesterday, and received a total of 4 comments combined---two comments on my first and last posts, nobody bother to comment on the Post "Its not Honey--Honey"---go figure??

and i think that content of the blog is subjectivity to preferences. if u write trash everyday.. lol maybe u'll become a popular blogger in an infamous way? like how stars sometimes make big bad news just to get paparazzi's attn.. yeahhh..

Well, a couple of posts above I said what SEO stands for but this isn't exactly the thread for it. Make a new one, or hell, search Google for SEO blogs and you will find a ton of articles written about it. If you make a new thread I will gladly post in there.

Darren from ProBlogger actually wrote a post about this very topic of posting. He asked his readers what they did and came up with some interesting results.

SEO is shorthand for "Search Engine Optimization", the black art of how to write your postings to max out the number of hits search engines will give you blog, has to do with key word usage and other gimmicktry. I agree its now how you write so much as what you give your readers to read about. best if your consistent however, and post frequently enough to keep your page fresh and exciting to your readers.

I think it depends on how much traffic you have. When you first start blogging and you hardly get any comments, you should probably not post too often. When you blog gets more popular, then posting more often is OK.

I've only had my blog for about a month so I post about once a week -twice max.

I like finding new interesting reading blog pages--but if when visiting them I find they havn't posted anythign new ---I tend to drop them and move on to others with fresh material. As such I try to post at least once a day, and frequently will post more than once a day. My traffic has been slowly growing so must be doing something right.

I post at least 3 times a day, it can go up to 7 times a day.
