| Amen. As much as I'd like to say that I want a president who would stick up for everything he believes and never flip flop or lie, I simply can't. He'd lose an election and we'd end up with someone who likely lied even more, so there's gotta be some manipulation. After all, that's part of politics and it's what we're built on....

I get what you guys are saying, politics and lying go hand in hand, its the name of the game. I know this is really stupid to mention but i am mentioning it either way, i feel it kind of relates to this. i ran for the presidency of a club at college and i won, i stayed the president for a year. in that year i lost a lot of my members, many guys who stopped coming because i had a boyfriend. my boyfriend stayed in a different state then he moved close by but never came to my college. lying would have saved my club here, this is just an EXAMPLE there were many places were i had to stand up for what i believe in, i dont care if i lost popularity, i mean my principles and beliefs just mean way more to me that being popular and president.
