Default Does Guest Posting Really Bring In Quality Traffic?

I haven't guest posted yet because I just don't have the time to do it. My question is, does it significantly increase your traffic? Is it worth the effort?

It will help with your links, and any exposure is good exposure.

Absolutely. But it's a hit or miss thing. If you guest post for a high traffic blog with clicky readers, it works great. I've written about 1 per month for about 10 months now and two of them worked out really well.

I guest posted on Making Money Online by Milking the Internet - John Cow dot Com and got a tone of relevant visitors that converted into members here.

Alan Lest a member here did a guest post for I Make Money Online by Telling People How Much Money I Make Online - John Chow dot Com and mentioned us just in normal text. "bloggeries" was searched like crazy for a day or so.

It's definitely worth it. Don't be selfish and give some of your BEST material away. By doing so you get visitors to see your best work. Why keep it on a blog no one visits? Use it to grow!

I received something like 2,000 uniques over the course of the week (remember, this is targeted visitors) after I guest posted on Tyler Cruz. And decent success elsewhere, too

I'm looking for a guest poster atm, so if you want to start off in front of a decent sized audience... drop me a PM

I wonder what it's like if you guestpost on say problogger. Curious if many people click the links through the readers or if most traffic is from web visitors on the blog you guest posted?

Yeah, you just need to post on a related blog in your niche.

Also, work with someone that allow you to add a couple of deep links to your other article within the content. People rarely click on link embedded in the bios.

I didn't guest post on problogger, but I did get a question answered by Darren. He linked to my name (which is probably one of the reasons I rank #1 google UK for "rhys"), and I must've got about 450 uniques from his site alone.

So yeah, it does help.

It's a lot less for when Darren does one of his group writing projects, or link to me in part, but the visitors are more converting (leave comments etc).
