| Don't worry man, Alexa is just proving to many people that it's STILL as inaccurate as before, if not worse. Just as long as you can provide people who your Google Analytics stats or whatever stat tracker you use, then you should be fine.

Alexa ranking (at least until now) is like late-night infomercials that hawk those "available for a limited time" Nascar plates (with the 24-karat gold rim, of course). That is, what makes those "collectable" is that the cheesy host declared them to be so. In other words, Alexa rank is a self-propagating sham. Alexa-originated hits are mostly important because, well, Alexa says they are. And since so many bloggers have bought into that silly notion, well, it must be true. Maybe it'll be different now, but I still say a website's Alexa score is not nearly worth the overblown importance it's been given. |
