I just thought it was time to share some random thoughts with you
While there are a lot of technical definitions of exactly what 'web 2.0' means, my take on it is that it is changing the way people interact with each other, making it easier to share thoughts, knowledge, and ideas.
The first example is really the blogs and bloggers being able easily share their writings. Of course these days it has expanded into social networks (many of which include blogging) and now you can instantly share all types of media, as well as rate, comment, 'digg', 'stumbleupon', etc. other peoples media.
Unfortunately along with the advances in human communication comes the spammers, the 'myspace pedafiles', and the flamer/haters. Although now you see more and more 'ignore' buttons to help people filter out some of the unwanted responses.
Along with the new media sharing options we are entering a world of revenue sharing models. From 'payperpost' for bloggers, to rev share forums like Bloggeries and digitalpoint, to rev share social networks like yuwie, zenzuu, and my own Opcot.com, to Revver.com (video media with rev share) and myspace trying out their own rev share model. To flika (90% spam, 10% good stuff), and BigCrumbs giving back for shopping through their links.
Anyway share your thoughts on the good, the bad, and the ugly that is coming with new internet technologies.
