Be nice to Bloggers Day

Well known blogger, Darren Rowse, has called today (14th April) an unofficial Bloggers Day.

He encourages us to get involved and encourage other bloggers. My post about it is in the blog linked with my name at the top of this post.

Well you should really be nice to bloggers every day, lol. I don't think randomly choosing a day was the greatest idea, but ah well. There are other blogger days that are much more well-known, so maybe this one will catch on eventually.

What are some other "blog days"?

Well, for example, delurker day....it goes by a couple other names, but it's basically the day where people who regularly read a blog, but never comments, is encouraged to "stop lurking" and leave a comment on that day, even if it's just to say "hey, I'm here and I read, too!" There's also NaBloPoMo which is a whole month dedicated to a bunch of bloggers getting together and writing every day for a whole months. It's since then grown to have monthly themes so it's not just November, but that's the month when everyone gets together, prizes are offered, tons of commenters come out of the word work for encouragement, etc.

I've never heard of any other blogger days. Did you see Darren's post? Darren writes problogger which is an extremely well known blog and I thought he had a great idea. Or were you just jesting?

i think days like these are just to attract traffic instead of the idea behind it.. thats why i never participate

Yes, I read the post and no, I wasn't just jesting, lol. Did you read 'my' post right above yours where I mentioned a few other "blogger days"? I know who he is and what he writes.....and I know he has an audience so that if he publicizes it next year, it'll do well. I still don't randomly think coming up with it on 'that' very day and announcing it as such was the greatest of ideas, though, because there wasn't much time given for it to spread before it was already over...

I'd say its most important to be nice to bloggers everyday. You never know which side of em you're gonna get. LOL. Naw. But I think bloggers a re a huge bunch of hard working people. Ever since i became one I started working on my 'site' so much & using up a huge deal of my time! :P
