Hello, I'm new here.

I hope I will become ative member of bloggeries community I own only one blog but I'm working hard on it (check my signature link)... The theme I'm using right now is my first own made magazine style theme - I'm planning to polish it a little bit and then I'll probably release it for free download in numerous color schemes. Any feedback would be appreciated

By the way, I have a question: Is this forum do-follow?

I think you need 10 posts before the sig shows, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm new too. The 10 posts thing is a good way of preventing spam comments I suppose from people advertising.

erm... why would U care? It's like saying,

"Hi I really like ya'll - but I am really just a little link dropper that was told forum links are great SEO"

They ain't and it's not.... just sit back, chat and enjoying the ride... who friggen cares if it is dofollowed or not.. furthermore mate, you simply need to 'view source' on any page with a link (or there are FF extensions) - no need to ask.

Well, maybe it's me but I tend to post more on forums that are dofollow. It's just good to know that I'm getting some free backlinks while posting. And no, I'm not link dropper.

Furthermore, dofollow forums tend to be more popular... people like to post on such forums more than on the forums that are nofollow. Just my two cents.

Fair enough, but if folks are telling you that a strong link profile is made up of forum posts, well, it is simply not true. I may not know a whole bunch about blogging, but I know a TON about indexing and retrieval (SEO).... how tough do ya figure it would be to write an algo that discounts everything past the first (most recent) one? Basics.....

So I say hang yer keyboard where you learn the most and enjoy the comany. I have near 1500 posts at DigitalPoint.... U think the advice (SEO at least) is worth much because of the poplarity? Naw... more crap than reality (noise to signal ratio)....
