Default TNX . NET Appears to Be Banned From Google

For those of you aren't totally convinced that selling paid posts or paid links IS NOT a good idea in today's world... TNX just got banned from google. If you continue to use programs that manipulate search engine results at a profit don't be surprised if you loose your search engine results.

Can't say I'm totally surprised. This type of thing is so 2005!

It's becoming like taxes; many are cheating and getting away with it but if you do get caught don't complain because you knew what you did wasn't totally in accordance with the TOS.

I'm actually surprised it took so long, lol. TLA got hammered pretty quick.

Agreed ->This *SHOULD* be a red light for considering these types of services.

I think it's a case of "what does it matter". I'll be honest, I sell text links on my blog. Fact is, it earns me quite a decent slice, and most of my readers come through RSS anyway, Google has a huge bounce rate for my blog. So I'm not really bothered. The second Adsense earns me enough to make selling text links not worthwhile, then I'm not going to stop selling them.

There is nothing illegal selling text links, you will not be thrown into jail selling them, just Google may decide to rank you less. I've had my wrists slapped on my main blog, but to be honest, as my readers are from RSS land and my blog is more entertaining than informative, I'm not hugely bothered.

With Retro Garden I am keeping it clean purely because most of my readers WILL come from search engines. So, with paid links/reviews, you need to decide if it's worth it.

FWIW: Whilst I do do paid links, I don't do paid reviews. As I feel this is detrimental to my blog readers me twittering on about something.

is that the reason they (TNX) are trying to get paid reviews?

They are banned to the best of my knowledge because they are selling services that "undermine search engines". Paid reviews was just to "get the word out" I believe and maybe to build their PR which ... Doesn't seem to matter anymore...
