Default Your (Site's) Facebook

Alright, so I have a personal Facebook that I despise. I signed up because my university actually used it quite a lot when it came to exchanging notes, event announcements, etc....but I hate it and only use it when I get an annoying little email saying that some Facebook addict has done something to my profile.

Um, but yeah, anyway, I got QuirkyJessi her own Facebook in hopes of using it to connect with all those bloggers out there that I know (or want to get to know). We've already had some threads about the ups and downs of it and how it can be used. Some have had some success...others haven't....but what harm could it do?

It's going to do absolutely nothing, though, if I don't actually start connecting with people, so if you have one that's used with your blog, post it. Maybe this will change my hatred for Facebook....

Here's mine...although completely bare at the moment: Quirky Jessi | Facebook

I'd be interested to see how this works. I've never thought of adding a profile for my blog. I do use facebook occasionally though to keep a track with some old colleagues and friends who now live around the world.

What types of things have worked for you?

Maybe this is the motivation I needed to set one up for Bloggeries. It's kinda weird mixing people you went to elementary school with (based purely on geographically location) with people from around the world you met due to similar interest...

Good old Facebook. Fantastic tool, lots of gizmos, email, friends. Probably the best form of connection and communication and all I've ever received through it so far is several vampire bites and possibly a severe case of herpes. At least I think it was herpes, hey I'm no doctor.

Personally, I use facebook pages and groups. For what it's worth, these are indexed by search engines and worth more than a profile (well, pages are anyway).

Retro Garden | Facebook
