What Makes a Great Blogger?

Since I am new on the blogging scene, I have been trying to get as much info about blogging.

So my question is, what makes a blogger great?

Original content. That means not the same old news being spurted in a new format again and again, unles syou have a big piece to add to what is already known.

Regular posting. You might write great posts, but if you only write one a month you're not much of a blogger.

Reasonable spelling, a clear layout, and no begging.

Begging: "Please please please visit my site and leave comments! I love comments! Oh, and stumble this post and share it with your friends, falimy, neighbours and enemies!"

Someone who blogs with passion and does because they love it. You can never fail if you're doing something you love.

If you do not love blogging you won't make it; much like a golfer who doesn't truly love it will never be the best. Also - practice makes perfect!

Rob, I think you hit the nail on the head. Love what you do. That applies to blogging as well as work in the real world. You better love what you do, be passionate about it. Learn all you can about it and go forth!

To me a great blogger is someone can take the same situation that a million and one different others blog about but offers something completely different
